BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — A popular (and familiar) voice on the radio in the Treasure Valley is returning to the airwaves.
On Wednesday, KBOI Radio announced that it's hired former Mix 106 DJ Mike Kasper to join its morning show team. Kasper replaces Paul J. Schneider, who retired in December after 51 years at the mic.
“I’m so excited and honored to be joining an iconic station like KBOI and I’m honored to be following in the footsteps of a legendary personality like Paul J Schneider,” Kasper said.
The new show teams Kasper along with Chris Walton and will air from 5-10 a.m. weekday mornings.
“I finally get the chance to work in a news-talk format where, for the first time in my career, I’ll be able to talk with listeners to discuss current events, news, sports, politics and issues that affect our state and the Treasure Valley,” he said.
